An established business leader in the food manufacturing industry, Dave Miniat has served as president of The Miniat Companies since 1995. A family-run business for over 100 years, The Miniat Companies delivers quality oils and cooked meats to meal manufacturers, bakeries, and restaurants. David Miniat currently focuses on executing policies developed by the board of directors while developing strategic initiatives for the company’s day-to-day operations. He also oversees the department heads to coordinate each of the company’s separate divisions. Beyond his leadership role with The Miniat Companies, he recently served as a member of the AMI board of directors. Educated at Colorado State University, David Miniat completed his bachelor of science in animal sciences in 1982. He went on to earn a master of business administration from Keller Graduate School of Business. Early in his career he participated as an active member of the Chicago Chapter of the Young Presidents’ Organization. In his personal life, he enjoys undertaking philanthropic projects. For example, he recently served as corporate chair of the Southwest Suburban Ron Santo Walk to Cure Diabetes.
